Janet Jackson has officially confirmed that she’s expecting her first child at age of 50.
She made the announcement with a photo revealing her baby bump for the first time in People Magazine.
“We thank God for our blessing,” she told People.
Speculation was sparked in April after Jackson postponed her Unbreakable world tour. At the time, she posted a short video on Twitter saying she and her husband, Wissam Al Mana, were “planning a family.”
That was the most she’s said about the reports of her pregnancy until now. In June, her brother Tito told People she was “hoping for a healthy baby.”
Her latest single from the albumUnbreakable, Dammn Baby, was released in May, further fuelling the rumour mill.
